ABRHS REUNION COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES 27 March 2002 Attendees: Eileen Bailey (O’Clair), Gary M. Brown, Gail Dow (Casarano), Ken Dow, Ray Gallant, Diane Haschig (Erkkinen), Karen Holland (Radtke), Ken Mayer, Mike McQueen, Jan Montague (Salminen), Kathy Osterhoudt (Plitt), David Perkins, Tom Rogers, Sue Sahlberg (Sweet), Kimberly Simcoe, Susan Wright (Burton). Ken Mayer (our host) opened the meeting at 8:00 PM, and offered an agenda and an outline of key points which were used in discussions. Tom Rogers was recognized for his proactivity in organizing, and hard work on the web site. Kathy Osterhoudt reported the current Bank Account balance as $888.39. Officers were appointed as follows: Co-Chairpeople: Jan Montague & Tom Rogers Co-Treasurers: Pat Hill & Sue Wright Secretary: Kim Simcoe Ray Gallant & Mike McQueen will contact local newspapers to place insertions informing classmates of an upcoming reunion and giving them a point of contact. Tom Rogers will submit a $127 invoice for software expenses. Tom also informed the group that to operate the current Web Site without banner ads it will cost $7 per month. Ray Gallant pointed out that this is a time-sensitive effort. Typically class reunions are organized a year in advance. We should all stand behind the decisions of the specific committees because their options will most likely be limited. It was agreed that a late-August date would be aimed for. Further, it would be a multi-event reunion, not just a one-evening dinner. The following specific Committees were appointed: 1. Site Subcommittee: Chaired by Ken Mayer, with Eileen Bailey, Gail Dow, Jan Montague & Sue Wright. Site Suggestions included NARA Park, Nashoba Valley Ski Area, Nashoba Winery, Ridge Hill Reservation, and Alpine Grove. 2. Music Committee: Gary Brown & Ken Mayer The remainder of the meeting was steered by Jan Montague, and we went over the entire “Not Confirmed” section of the graduation listing. All the reunion committee members participated in discussing the whereabouts of, or means of contacting missing classmates. David Perkins’ groundwork, along with Gary Forrest, provided a valuable starting point for the reunion committee members to begin address confirmations. Currently, there’s an excellent percentage of classmates located, but as a result of our lengthy analysis of the list, the reunion committee stands to raise that percentage considerably. The meeting was adjourned at 11:20PM For the Committee, Kimberly Simcoe |
